What is Bowl for Kids' Sake?

Bowl for Kids' Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Maine's largest fundraiser, raising over $250,000 annually for children facing adversity in the 7 counties we serve throughout eastern, central and midcoast Maine. It's a super fun bowling event that raises money to support 1-to-1 mentoring programs for youth facing adversity by matching kids (Littles) with caring, responsible adults (Bigs) who change their lives for the better, forever! This is your chance to make a BIG difference in the lives of local youth in your community, just by having fun bowling. All money raised at our Kennebec Valley events stays local! 

How does bowling help kids?

Money raised is used to carefully match Bigs and Littles to ensure child safety, fund healthy activities and snacks at mentoring programs and provide professional support for children, families and volunteers to help build and sustain long-lasting relationships! 

How do I get started?

Step 1: Form teams of 4 or 5 bowlers. Then let us know when and where you want to bowl. We have a simplified, electronic registration process to not only register your team, but raise money the easy way, online! Click REGISTER to get started! You can also complete a team roster and FAX it to: 236-2292. Register your team by April 1st to secure your date and time to bowl, and be automatically entered into the Early Bird Raffle Drawing for a chance to win a free lunch for your team! 

Step 2: Set your personal and team goals. Most bowlers raise $100 but others reach $1,000,  the cost to make a Big/Little Match! What impact do you want to have? Teams that raise $500 or more will receive a 2018 Bowl for Kids' Sake t-shirt!

Step 3: Set up your fundraising page and start sharing it now with friends through emails and social media. Your donors can support you easily and safely by making a gift online. Of course you can also collect donations and turn them in at the event. 

Step 4: Come out and have a blast bowling with your community! Bowl for Kids' Sake includes free shoes and bowling. Prizes are awarded every hour. Food is available for purchase at each event.

It's an hour of fun for families, friends, service clubs, schools, businesses, sports teams, church groups and co-workers! No experience necessary. Just a desire to help kids succeed in life.
