National UNICEF Day
This National UNICEF Day, join thousands of children, teachers and schools across Canada in a fundraising campaign that has been a Hallowe’en tradition for over 60 years!
When you create a fundraising page, you’ll get a customizable webpage that will let you contact friends to get pledges. You can add your own picture and videos, and track your campaign’s success! If you need fundraising ideas or help at any time, you can check out our Fundraising Best Practices or email us at Fundraising Toolkit or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is National UNICEF Day?
National UNICEF Day is a Hallowe’en tradition that launched in the 1950s. It is one of Canada’s longest-running youth fundraising campaigns that allows children to become global citizens. At first, the program involved the ‘Trick-Or-Treat for UNICEF’ orange collection boxes, but now it has evolved into in-school and online fundraising.
To date, children all over Canada have raised more than $100 million and have given 28.5 million children around the world the chance to go to school! But with nearly 58 million children currently out of school, our work is far from over.
