Man on the Edge Anthony Hill

I’m excited to be walking the runway of this year’s LittleBig GlamSlam Fashion show with my Little Brother, Hezekiah, and representing male mentors for Broward County.

Hezekiah and I have been matched for two years now. He’s a great kid: fun, energetic and spirited. We just clicked from the first day we met, and our relationship has grown stronger with each day. I could see firsthand how just important a few moments of one-to-one quality time can be for a child. And I knew I could do more.

I currently work for the Florida Panthers as the Director of Corporate Partnerships, and I knew I had to find a way for the Florida Panthers to be more involved in the lives of youth in our community. That’s when the idea came to life to start a “School-to-Work” program with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County. The program pairs corporate partners with high schools and middle schools to offer students career mentoring for four hours a month. This gives the youth an opportunity to learn all about Florida Panthers hockey and what it takes to run a large-scale arena while grasping workplace skills and understanding career opportunities.

I’ve always been very involved in sports. In fact, my basketball coach was one of my most memorable mentors growing up. He taught me the importance of balancing fun and discipline. He fueled my passion for the sport of basketball and we still maintain our relationship today. It’s mentors like him that help our youth chase their dreams and understand their potential. And that’s exactly the motto I’d like to continue to set for my Little.

I decided to model for the LittleBig GlamSlam fashion show to raise much needed awareness and funding for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County to support their mission to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

Every dollar I raise as a GlamSlam model counts as one vote. The male candidate who tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of "Man on the Edge".

Plus, All proceeds from LittleBig GlamSlam will be earmarked for the BankUnited Legacy Scholarship Fund, the first-ever scholarship program geared for high school students enrolled in the organization’s Broward mentoring program.

Help me make a difference AND win the title of “Man on the Edge”!
