You don’t need to be a “bowler.” Most participants are not regular bowlers. It’s all about having fun while celebrating the impact the money you collect will have on your community. Register to bowl and collect pledges online. You can be a Team Captain and start a team, join an existing team or support a bowler or the organization with a general donation. Questions? Contact Joyce Anderson, 920-489-3535 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Start a team.
Teams are formed with five or six members. Consider creating a team with family, friends, fraternity brothers, sorority sisters, or co-workers.
You can register your team, ask for pledges by email and track your team’s progress right online.
Each bowler must raise $75 to bowl. Most bowlers raise $50 or more above the minimum pledge amount, but some people raise more than $1,000. What impact do you want to have?
Pledges are easy to collect on your own support webpage. BBBS will invoice your sponsors (minimum $25 for invoicing).
Motivate your team.
Set an individual and team fundraising goal - AIM HIGH! We suggest an individual goal of $150. Share information about the impact that Youth Mentoring has on your community with your friends and family and communicate your team’s success (Katie just got a $50 donation! Joel has already exceeded his goal of $200! Our team just surpassed the $1,000 mark!).
Get ready to bowl.
After you have secured your sponsorships, it’s time to have fun!
Join us at Apple Valley Lanes on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018. You’ll receive two free games of bowling (shoes and ball rental included!), food, and chances to win prizes. Have fun with your team and the theme – feel free to dress up in costume. Our theme celebrates the love of Valentine's Day (Feb. 14). We're looking for Big Hearts to help us support our Littles in Door County.
So what are you waiting for? Start your team today! Partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters through Bowl for Kids' Sake makes a positive, long-lasting impact on children in your community. Our mentoring works. It works to help broaden children's perspectives and help them learn how to make good choices. It starts a child on the path to fulfilling their potential and succeeding in school and life.
